Our trip was a success! Everything went off without a hitch, Irene was merciful.
We started out by flying to Miami on Saturday morning with our friends Chris and Amanda from Dallas. We had ourselves a few Bloodys which made the flight much better.
My only requirement for our hotel was that it was on the beach. We found one in Miami Beach and it was perfect. Our first afternoon, we immediately made our way to the sands. The beach was so pretty, minus some yucky jellyfish on our first day. The sand is white and the waters are clear. Amazing!
We went down to South Beach on Sunday afternoon where Chris ran into "Holla." Holla is a nice young man Chris recognized as being interviewed by some Dallas radio station earlier this year. I am sure you will be shocked, but Holla did not remember his Dallas interview at all.
We got hungry and decided we needed some refreshments. The happy hour specials at the restaurant we found consisted of buying one of these monstrous drinks (for $25...) and getting the second one free. I got the Champagne Mojito and it was bliss.
